DHET: University Capacity Development Grant (UCDG): DMISRS Project
CEA Research and Development Team has been funded by DHET for collaborative grant project under University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP).
The Diagnostic Mathematics Information for Students Retention and Success (DMISRS) is a collaborative project which aims to analyse the curricula of first year Mathematics courses in Higher Education in order to establish how best to address students needs through curriculum-integrated support initiatives, including blended learning.

Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF): DMISRS Project
The aim of the project is to provide information on test performance and benchmarking for NSFAS eligible candidates who wrote the NBTs. The analysis is used to assess the entry level of candidate's academic skills in three domains of Academic Literacy (AL), Quantitative Literacy (QL) and Mathematics (MAT).
Additionally, with a focus on the blended learning initiative for DMISRS, the Connected Academic Mathematics Programme (CAMP) initiative started to take firmer shape in 2023 where the main focus became a learning platform which would help learners to identify the gaps in their Mathematics knowledge for specific university programmes and to bridge these gaps to allow for greater success at university.
