CHED hubs serve as central platforms for diverse academic activities, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and resource sharing. They play a pivotal role in advancing scholarship, enhancing engagement, and supporting the growth of the CHED community. 

The main goals of CHED hubs are to promote research collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, enable resource sharing, create networking opportunities, drive educational innovation, build community, and strengthen institutional partnerships.

  •    Enhance understanding and awareness of curriculum changes by describing and mapping them at the faculty and course levels and highlighting CHED's role in these changes. 

  • Foster collaboration and community building by identifying opportunities for synergies within CHED and UCT, while showcasing CC activities and building a community of practice.

  • Enhance the visibility and understanding of CHED's professional learning opportunities and services by mapping, recording, and raising awareness of these offerings, while fostering collaboration and synergy within the UCT community. 

  • Develop and adapt a framework to contextualise individual projects and offerings, facilitating the communication of CHED’s collective contribution to teaching, learning, and assessment (TLA) enhancement at UCT and advancing the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching.

Purpose / Goal of the hub  

  • Enhance the accessibility, usability, and visibility of CHED research by serving as a resource for other CHED hubs, supporting the CHED research seminar series, and disseminating research knowledge both internally and externally. 

  • Foster collaborative research and provide thought leadership on critical higher education issues, such as assessment, curriculum, and course evaluations, by creating spaces for collaborative research and addressing pressing questions in higher education.
