CILT celebrates strides in digital education

The Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT) celebrated their many successes in the digital education space at an event on 7 June.

The gathering recognised three important milestones in online education at UCT: the completion of 12 massive open online courses (MOOCs), the building of the One Button Studio – an automated digital media facility for creating educational videos – and the launch of the formal online education project.

 

 
 

This year, a decade of hard work, dedication and humility as a Maths and Science teacher paid off when Sfiso Kubeka received the 2018 Stella Clark Teachers’ Award.

 

 

CETAP has secured funding and has begun work on a collaborative, national project: The Diagnostic Mathematics Information for Student Retention and Success (DMISRS) Project. 

 

 

The UCT Language Policy Committee launched its accent film Are you judging? earlier this year to raise critical language awareness among staff and students.
