Glenda Cox GO-GN webinar recording now available
The Global OER Graduate Network (GO-GN) hosted GO-GN alumnus and DOT4D Principal Investigator Dr Glenda Cox in an open webinar on the DOT4D conceptual approach and social justice intersectional model on Wednesday 5 December. The recording and slides from the webinar are now available.
In her presentation, Dr Cox provides an overview of the South African higher education context in which the DOT4D project is situated, as well as the challenges of increased access and curriculum transformation which the project seeks to address. Focusing issues of representation, she highlights the localised, collaborative approach towards resource creation which the project seeks to promote as well as the power of alternative epistemic views.
Dr Cox also provides an overview of the project's work-in-progress conceptual framework, which draws upon Nancy Fraser's theorising on social justice and Margaret Archer's conceptualisation of agency.
