Open education and the provision of free, high quality and appropriate teaching and learning materials is a necessary and powerful means of addressing social injustice in South African higher education, particularly as relates to resource access, multilingualism, curriculum change and inclusivity.

Are you a student, librarian, lecturer, educator, researcher or manager interested in joining the conversation? Maybe you have ideas or expertise that could help? Maybe you’d like to develop an open textbook, but don’t know where to start? Maybe you would just like to listen in on the conversation? DOT4D hosts and participates in a range local, national and international knowledge-sharing and capacity-building events.

See the Outputs page for more details on recent presentations and watch this space for details on upcoming events.

If you’d like to join the DOT4D mailing list and participate in future events, please contact DOT4D Lead A/Prof Glenda Cox
